            LMS Autumn Program

Save the date!  The LMS Autumn Program will be on Thursday, November 21, from 7 to 8:00 PM at Broadway Baptist Church located at 2500 Harrodsburg Road in Lexington.

Our new music teacher, Kelsey Jones, has already started working with the children on the program.

More information will be sent home about the Autumn Program soon.

We’re pleased to share some exciting news about a new fundraising program for LMS which involves no selling.  It’s called “scrip” and it’s the fundraising program that works while you shop.  Shopwithscrip.com is gift certificates from national and local retailers, such as, The Gap, Macy’s, Shell, Starbuck’s, etc.  Here’s how it works…scrip participating retailers agree to sell gift certificates to LMS at a discount.  Families like ours buy the certificates for full face value, they redeem them for full face value, and our school keeps the difference as revenue. More information will be sent home in the coming days.

Primary A & B Field Trip

The Primary class students will be going on a field trip to Boyd Orchards in Versailles, KY on Friday, October 18th

The apple tour begins promptly at 9:00 a.m. and afterwards the children will pick a pumpkin from the pumpkin patch.  We will leave LMS at 8:15 a.m. The cost is $8.50 per person.  Children 2 and under are free.  Please return the pink permission slip with your payment to the office no later than October 11th.

Please visit their website at www.boydorchards.com for more information and directions.

Beginning Wednesday, October 30th until Wednesday, December 4th, the Kindergarten children will have P.E. every Wednesday at UK’s Seaton Center.  The Kindergarteners will need to be dropped off at Seaton Center located on UK’s campus by 7:50 a.m. for their P.E. activities.  A teacher will be waiting outside the building so you will be able to drop your child off.  The children will return to LMS at 9:00 a.m.  Please let us know if you would be able to transport children back to school.
