 Jill Stofer Send Email |
Jill Stofer has been teaching art and art history at Lexington Montessori for ten years.
She majored in Fine Arts with a concentration in Clay at the University of Kentucky and is currently an adjunct faculty member in the Ceramics Department at UK. Jill, a professional clay artist for more than 20 years, has 17 years experience teaching children art. She is also the owner of the Main Cross Gallery in Victorian Square. In 2003, Jill commissioned with sculptor Richard Stofer to design a 47-foot stainless wall with tile inlay created by her art students at Lexington Montessori School; this wall is featured in the reception area of the UK Children's Hospital. Jill's philosophy about teaching art is that if you can teach a child how to see, then they can draw anything.
